Here are some key points:

1.Functionality:

1)IPCs create a conductive path with the conductor inside the wire without the need for stripping or cutting the insulation.

2)They allow branch connections to be made to existing cables without compromising the insulation.

2.Design and Features:

1)IPCs typically consist of a connector body made from plastic or other insulating material.

2)Tin-plated copper blades are embedded in the connector body.

3)A single torque control nut draws the two halves of the connector together, shearing off when the teeth pierce the insulation and make contact with the conductor strands.

4)The bolt is fully insulated, allowing for live-line installation but offload.

5)End caps ensure waterproofing for taps and splices.

6)IPCs are designed for use in low voltage overhead distribution networks.

3.Advantages:

  1)Quick and efficient electrical connections.

2)No need for stripping or cutting insulation.

3)Reliable operation even in harsh environments.

4)Suitable for various cable types (XLPE, PE, PVC).
