Here are some details about this component:


1.Structure: A Cross Arm is a cross-piece fitted to the top end portion of a pole by means of brackets, known as pole brackets. Cross Arms are of various types such as MS channel, angle iron, or wooden. These may be straight, U-shaped, or zig-zag shaped.

2.Usage: Cross Arms serve as support structures for insulators, conductors, and other electrical equipment, ensuring proper spacing and stability. They play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, safety, and efficiency of overhead electrical systems.

3.Manufacturing Process: The main process for making the electrical cross arm is pressing. All holes are pressed in one operation with no burrs on it. The holes are used to connect other pole line hardware.

4.Installation: The electrical cross arm is connected to the utility pole by double arming bolt, pigtail bolt, or U bolt. There are cross arm braces to support the cross arm so that the line will not drop off.
