For ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) and AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) conductors, there are several types of strain clamps available:
1.Quadrant Strain Clamp - Aluminum (SD130S): This is an aluminum bolted deadend for transmission line construction with all aluminum, ACSR or aluminum alloy conductor, or for Alumoweld shield wire. It has a clamping range of 0.460"-0.940" and the ultimate body strength is 30,000 lb.
2.Strain Clamp, Snubbing (785002000): This strain clamp has a conductor range of AAC-600-900 MCM, ACSR- 556.5-795 MCM, and a diameter range of 0.870”-1.108”. The ultimate body strength of this clamp is 14,000 lbs.
3.NY-BG Hydraulic Strain Clamp: This type of strain clamp is used specifically for aluminum-clad ACSR.
