1.Material: The clamp body is typically made of aluminum or aluminum alloy. Other parts, such as the anchor, are often made of drop-forged steel, which is hot-dip galvanized.
2.Usage: These clamps are used for aluminum-clad ACSR conductors. They are also used in transmission line construction with all aluminum, ACSR, or aluminum alloy conductor, or for Alumoweld shield wire.
3.Design: The design of these clamps allows them to handle a wide range of conductor sizes. For example, the SD family quadrant strain clamp has a clamping range of 0.460"-0.940" and is designed for single cable.
4.Strength: The strength of these clamps varies with conductor type, size, and stranding. The minimum slip strength rating on standard strength conductors is 40% RBS (Partial Tension). For many standard strength conductors, the minimum slip strength of this clamp series is 60% RBS (Normal Tension).
